About the Suzuki Association of Minnesota

History of the Suzuki Association of Minnesota (SAM)

The roots of this organization began in 1993, with a group of teachers who wanted to work on projects together, and to support teachers working alone or independently thoughout the state. We are dedicated to providing teachers and parents in the state of Minnesota an opportunity to know and support each other. By providing this support, we are able to elevate the level of musicianship of our students. In 2003, we became a chapter affiliate with SAA, and a charitable non-profit organization.

Mission

The Suzuki Association of Minnesota encourages and supports excellence in education for teachers, parents, students and the general public in Minnesota and the Americas using the principles set forth by Shinichi Suzuki.
